We all know these are testing times for UK journalism. Jobs are being lost across the industry and fewer new ones are being advertised, which impacts us directly as job advertising is our main source of revenue.

So we have taken the difficult decision to request donations from readers to help maintain our coverage of UK regional journalism. We’d like to say a big thank you to all those who have donated so far.

However while we are incredibly grateful for their generosity, they represent only a small proportion of HTFP’s overall audience, and we need the support of many more of our readers to withstand the impact of the current downturn.
