A long-standing chief reporter has landed a new daily business editor role – taking on a new byline in the process.
Beverly Rademacher, pictured, has spent just over 25 years at the Stourbridge News where she worked under her previous name, Bev Holder.
Now Beverley is moving to a new role as business editor of the Express and Star, where she will be using her married name.
She takes over from Mike Sheridan, who is moving to become full-time business editor of sister daily the Shropshire Star having covered the role at both titles since November.
Posting on X, Beverly wrote: “After just over a quarter of a century, I’ve said farewell to the Stourbridge News
“Thank you to all who have trusted me to tell their stories over the years. It’s been a labour of love covering my hometown but it’s time for an exciting new chapter
A subsequent post read: “After saying farewell to the Stourbridge News, I’m delighted to say I’m now the new business editor at the Express & Star!
“With a new job it’s time to use my not so new name!”
Mike posted: “After a brief stint covering both the E&S and Shropshire Star I’ve now moved over full-time to the Shropshire gig. It’s lovely to be back in the Shire.”
Mike had previously served as a local democracy reporter in Shropshire, where he worked for Newsquest under the BBC-funded scheme.
